Uplift health talk and action plan for monsoons in India

With the advent of Monsoons, Uplift has begun putting into action its Monsoon plan in India under the ICMIF 5-5-5 Mutual Microinsurance Strategy. As part of risk reduction and early diagnosis measures, a series of health talks and check-up camps are being organized in communities. One such health talk was organized on July 13, 2017, at Azadnagar, Thane, India. The focus of the health talk was on prevention of water borne diseases such as malaria, dengue and diarrhoea.

The health talk was conducted by Dr Swati Shinde, medical officer at Uplift.
